Hi, I'm Ashley.

I'm a strategic marketing and communications leader with more than 15 years of experience across music, entertainment, technology, nonprofit, and creative industries.

​

I help organizations, artists, and creative teams turn ideas into action — developing strategy, telling compelling stories, building partnerships and programs, and leading complex projects from concept through execution.

​

Today, I work independently with clients across the music and creative industries on marketing and communications strategy, PR and earned media, partnerships, artist and program development, and special projects.

​

Most recently, I served as Senior Director, Special Projects & Marketing at Strut Entertainment, where my role spanned nearly every aspect of the business, including marketing and PR, operations, artist management, client services, partnerships, project management, and strategic growth initiatives.

​

While at Strut, I led the creation and launch of STRUT VIP, a national artist development membership program built from the ground up. I oversaw its strategy, operational systems, digital platform, consultant network, communications, partnerships, and ongoing program management.

​

Previously, I've held leadership and management roles with MusiCounts, BlackBerry, Cadence Music Group, Luminato Festival, and Universal Music Canada, working across music and entertainment marketing, communications, partnerships, events, digital strategy, and artist development.

​

After many years in Toronto, I've spent the past six years based in Victoria, BC, and continue to serve on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of Music BC.

I love helping great ideas find their audience — whether that means shaping a story, building a strategy, developing the right partnership, creating a new program, or figuring out how to actually make an ambitious project happen.
